If not for the name listed with this incredible stat line one would think this came from somewhere in the first half of the 1900s, where pitchers routinely were called upon to pitch complete games, including extra innings. That Cliff Lee went 10 innings tonight, in this age of modern baseball, is incredible and a testament to his incredible endurance and accuracy, as you'll note he threw 81 strikes, out of 102 pitches!!! What's sad is that he didn't factor into the decision, as Antonio Bastardo took the loss in the bottom of the 11th, but it does not dim the brilliant display by Cliff Lee. He is one of maybe 3 pitchers that could still do this. Incredible.
